Good news: We are proud to announce that as of January 19, 2022, the first home is being heated gas-free with the Turbine Heat Pump from Tarnoc. This pilot involves a rental home in Den Bosch owned by housing corporation ZAYAZ. This is the first pilot of a total of 8 rental homes that will be equipped with an all-electric Turbine Boiler in collaboration with De WarmteWissel. The installation was completed in 2 days by installer Kemkens. Special thanks to the kind resident and all parties involved who made this pilot possible.
With the Tarnoc Turbine Heat Pump, existing homes can be quickly transitioned from natural gas in the future. This innovative high-temperature solution replaces the current central heating boiler one-to-one in the same location, has no outdoor unit, and can be installed by any installer. Additional insulation of the house is not necessary, keeping the total costs low. Moreover, this heat pump does not contain environmentally harmful refrigerants. The system is monitored online and optimized via over-the-air updates.
The project was carried out with a subsidy from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, National EZ Subsidies schemes, Top Sector Energy, executed by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.
